I thought I knew what ‘melodramatic’ meant, and then I became aware of the MGS and FF series. There are so many twists that the straight-ahead parts of the story are the suprises.

I have to say, it works for the medium. If your story doesn’t have to clock in under three hours you can weave in all the love dodecahedrons and conspiracies you want. In fact, when you reach the length and breadth of the FF series, you almost have to.

If only Cecil B. DeMille would be alive today. But then, he’d gripe about the fact that having 5,000 extras on screen would kill the frame rate…

Glad your cat is better. I hate it when the animals aren’t well.

I haven’t written all week. I plan to write some pages tomorrow, even though it’s Thanksgiving and I’ll be at the in-laws.

That was brilliant. For a long time, I thought Glenn Beck was a parody, like the Stephen Colbert schtick. But now I see he is just Keith Olbermann in drag.

I LOVE Jon Stewart. It is hilarious, though I wasn’t aware of who Glenn Beck was. I had to Google him to see that he’s on Fox, and I never watch Fox news. I don’t even like watching the local news on Fox.

Hi, Edie! I’m seriously thinking about buying one of those gadgets for breaking out car windows. I hear that it can be difficult to kick out windows, and if you have one of those little hammers, you can get out a lot sooner.

Lynne, I’m glad you and John are all right. Through the Internet, I know so many writers in flooded areas, and I’ve been thinking about them. I do know how to swim and I always wear seatbelts, so I’m okay there.

We don’t get too many floods in Wis., but every once in awhile we’ll have flooded streets in odd areas. It can happen anywhere.
