In a history book I was reading last night, the author referred to someone getting his “just desserts.”  ::groan::

The title of this post makes it sound like I’m going to talk about an obscure rule of grammar with no practical application, I’m sure. :-)

Look at the two sentences below, and tell me which one is correct.

1. Welcome to the web site of award-winning author Jane Doe.
2. Welcome to the web site of award-winning author, Jane Doe.
